The workshop will be held at Tsukuba International Congress Center (Epochal Tsukuba), hosted by the Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA) Earth Observation Research Center (EORC). Tsukuba is one of the biggest research centers of Japan, with many research institutes such as Meteorological Research Institute and JAXA Tsukuba Space Center. It is located about 40 km north east of Tokyo, about 80 minutes from Tokyo station by train and 100 minutes from Narita international airport by highway bus. The daily maximum and minimum temperatures are typically around 16°C and 5°C in November.

Since Tsukuba is about one hour trip from Tokyo, you may stay in hotel in Tokyo. For this case, we recommend you to find the hotels along the Tsukuba Express line or near the Tokyo station.
A block of rooms are booked at OKURA FRONTIER HOTEL TSUKUBA Epochal, just next to the Tsukuba International Congress Center. Costs will be the responsibility of each participant. Booking information is provided in the Logistics document and on the meeting website. Deadline to book at the conference rate is 15 September 2014.
40 rooms/day are blocked for the IPWG meeting from 16 to 21 November. Special booking site for the IPWG meeting participants are available until November 1, 2014, but will not be available when blocked rooms for each day are sold out. Please book from here to get special rate as soon as possible.
