Cal/Val
- Detailed schedule should be made. Activities should be coordinated with other sensors (i.e. POLDER, MODIS, MERIS), cruises, and projects (i.e. SIMBIOS)
- Cross calibration with SeaWiFS/MODIS and use of MOBY for initial image generation are recommended. PIs also try to coordinate cruises for the time.
- Initialization cruise coincident with AVIRIS flight off California is recommended about 4 months after the launch of GLI.
- Field campaign around Japan during spring-summer period after launch is recommended.
- Match-up strategy should be refined. Possibility to make compatibility with diagnostic data set planned by SIMBIOS and IOCCG needs to be discussed.
- JAXA should fix the ADEOS-II launch schedule and inform PIs as early as possible.
- We need international instrument pool and/or calibration effort.
- In-water and above-water measurements of upward irradiance are still required for evaluation.
- I-LAC activity similar to OCTS project is necessary.
