NASDA decided to launch the Advanced Earth Observing Satellite-II (ADEOS-II) on December 14(Sat), 2002(10:31-10:47 JST) by H-IIA Launch Vehicle No.4 from the Tanegashima Space Center.

This image is the poster of ADEOS-II provided by EORC. Earth environment, at present, has many environmental issues, such as ozone hole expansion, global warming, and abnormal weather. ADEOS-II data will greatly contribute to understand their mechanisms and causes.
