Global distribution of aerosol optical thickness at a wavelength of 500nm (panel a) and angstrom exponent (panel b) retrieved from Terra/MODIS data. Monthly mean values from September 13 to October 12 in 2000. These results were obtained by using ADEOS-II GLI analysis system developed in EORC/NASDA.
