Introduction
Nagahama is located at north part of Lake Biwa, which is the largest freshwater body in Japan from time immemorial has been nurturing its natural life. Shiga prefecture is a lake country that preserves the beautiful nature surrounding Lake Biwa and deeply appreciates its historical cultural heritage which has developed along with the lake.
Access to the Venue
1) Arrival in Kansai International Airport (KIX)
The most recommended way to Nagahama from KIX is as below.

Climate
December is the begging of winter season in Japan. The average maximum and minimum temperatures are about 5 ºC and 15 ºC. The average precipitation is about 60mm and it sometimes snows.
Currency
Japanese YEN. Its exchange rate is $1 = about ¥110 (as of October 2004)
Traveler's Checks and Credit Cards
Traveler's checks are not common in Japan. Major credit cards such as VISA are widely accepted. However, there is no ATM service in town of Nagahama.
