JAXA Earth Observation Research Center (EORC) announces to hold AMSR/GLI Workshop as shown below.

In the international trend to totally observe and understand the global scale phenomena to develop the future prediction of the earth environment, the importance of the roll of observations from satellites increase more and more. Advanced Microwave Scanning Radiometer(AMSR) and Global Imager(GLI) on Advanced Earth Observation Satellite II (Midori II) acquired data during about 7 months of her mission phase. And Advanced Microwave Scanning Radiometer for EOS(AMSR-E) on Aqua of NASA satellite has been collecting data for over 4 years, and still working smoothly as of December.

By fully utilizing huge information involved in these acquired data, we are working on the analysis of the earth’s phenomena to finally initiate Global Observation Mission, the follow-on mission of ADEOS-II. In this workshop, we will introduce the progress of researches and utilizations of AMSR/GLI, AMSR-E with the prospect of the GCOM plan.

We are welcome users, people who are interested in the earth observation.
This workshop is free, and we anticipate your pre-registration and cooperation.
